Allison's Diary is a Slendy-like game that has you travelling across four different areas in search of pages that make up a diary of the titular antagonist as a reporter named Guillermo.

Each area has 2 pages and some triggered events that help you move forward to the next area. I am not 100% sure which events need to occur and I do a lot more exploring than I feel you should if you're just trying to get the game done quickly as I explore every room and try to trigger every cutscene. I will try to explain what moves the story forward further on in the description if I can, but to get the platinum, you will need every diary page. Luckily, when you die, you don't need to recollect any pages. You can if you'd like, but I missed the last page on my stream and got the platinum when I collected it.

The gameplay is not very good, the character is very slow moving, even while running and the collision detection is horrible. You will notice the camera randomly jerking around and that is not me, but because I move to close to a wall or a random object. Sometimes enemies spawn too close to hit them with the flashlight long enough for them to die, sometimes the flashlight doesn't seem to affect them at all which is generally forgivable in Indie Games, however, the lack of checkpoints in levels makes this infuriatingly frustrating.

Hopefully with more experience these developers will continue to iron out their flaws and start to create future indie gems like Amnesia and Layers of Fear.

0:00 Title Screen

1:40 The Hospital
Page 1 (8:50 - in the bathtub at the end of the hall)
Page 2 (10:45 - at the bottom of the stairs)
The Diary seems to randomly show up, I found it at the lockers at 12:45, but in my original playthrough it was in the room with the spiders at 14:00. I also watched a video where it was in the box by the shower at 9:30). Finding this moves you on to the next area.

16:07 The Cathedral
Page 3 (25:25 - on the table by the bed in the room with the first key)
Page 4 (27:40 - on the floor by the piano where you get the second key)
This area is a little more straightforward, all you need to do is enter the room beside the altar and climb the ladder. After opening a couple doors you will find a cross and can jump down and put it on the altar which will open up the basement

32:10 The Cathedral - Basement
The Explorer Trophy (34:00 - where you see the piano there are stairs leading back up where you can grab some flashlight batteries. Being in this area will get you the achievement)
Page 5 (37:45 - in the library area there will be a little nook inside some bookshelves and on the table there is a diary page)
Page 6 (41:50 - in the basement morgue like area, there's a page at the very end of the room. You will have to take the long way around as beds block your path)
I'm not really sure what finishes the level, but after grabbing page 6, I went back the way I came and there were now stairs leading even further downstairs. I'm sorry my flashlight died on the way so it's hard to see.

48:44 The Villa
Page 7 (56:40 - after the scene where Allison is coloring, it will be on the floor in the corner)
Page 8 (1:01:03 - after finally climbing the stairs, there will be four doors; two on the left and two on the right. The two on the left, you don't have to check out, but the first door on the right has the diary page, make sure you get this one first because the second door on the right will end the game and you will have to re-do the level again)
