I got accepted into the Alpha testing for essentially the REBOOT of Neopets. Yes, the cute, adorable creatures you've probably not fed since the 6th grade, are making a comeback, and honestly, it's promising. It's seems that the creators aim to bring a fully rendered 3D Neopia to our generation. Yes it's technically a Metaverse game, HOWEVER they are aiming to make the game as fully free as possible. I'm sure there will be things you'll be able to buy at some point, specialized furniture's and stuff but it seems they are aiming to make this an INCREDIBLY accessible experience. At the moment many food and crafting recipes can be unlocked, simply by completing the missions given daily/weekly/monthly out by the Money Tree. It seems atm only Neopia Central and Terror Mountain are explorable. Terror mountain doesn't offer much except a cute landscape to click through and your Neohome. In Neopia Central, there's the Battledome and Mini-games. Currently there are only 5 mini-games and 4 Neoptes available with 3 more already lined to release soon. At the moment you can select Shoryu, Xweetot, Uni and Kougra. There isn't much to do now, but it deff seems a step in the right direction for the franchise as a whole.
