[15/12/2022 EDIT: Seems Youtube's decided this stuff is popular enough that adverts need to be stapled to them. I do not monetise my videos, and have no control over adverts being placed on my videos as per Youtube's whims; I apologise to folks who are unable to circumvent these things for one reason or another. If you have a problem with this, I'd say find the soundtrack on your own. Ain't like Sony's made it available to purchase.]

Since the only proper extend I could find of this track is somewhat plagued with mouse-clicks and scratchy quality, I decided to take it upon myself to put out a better variant, extended to 30 minutes so you can really get the feeling of dread that comes from exploring people's dream-scapes!

For the unaware, this music is what plays (most of the time) during the dreamwalking phases of Alundra, where the titular character must attempt to save characters locked within their own minds by exploring their nightmare and freeing them from whatever's keeping them in a near-eternal slumber. Strange architecture and raised pillars connected with struts are the flavour of the month, with the more mentally-disturbed characters having increasingly disturbing layouts and designs.

All the while, this music plays - a harrowing piece that feels somewhat off. Heart-beats playing during the calm parts, violins that crescendos into a blood-curdling scream before silence falls, and plinky little music box music makes the whole thing seem very unnerving and creepy. It's definitely one of the stranger tracks in the game, which makes sense since it plays during the nightmare stages :V

Play this to set the mood during another game, to remind yourself of how freaking annoying some of the nightmares were, or just because the music is amazing. Anything's fine!

The music was composed by Kohei Tanaka, whilst the music and picture is from the Alundra OST. Alundra is owned, apparently, by Sony Entertainment - ya learn something new every day, right?
