Amapani - Switch Block Jump
A video that isn't Nitroid?!

Well I felt like playing another Desunoya game since I haven't played very many of them yet. I had some ideas for this too, such as a recorded blind playthrough or maybe only using one character. (I'm basically already doing that right now because Marisa is way too good, although I wouldn't have picked her for the recorded playthrough.)
I ended up deciding not to record the playthrough. I don't have video editing software which works and although I could get some, I just didn't feel like doing so at the moment. I'm the type of person who likes to collect everything in a game, so I figured it probably wouldn't be enjoyable to watch someone running around trying out random exploration by jumping into death pits and what not, looking for where the book is in each level. Mind you, it isn't that bad when you can edit too much pointless crap out but evidently I can't do that.
So far I've played up through the first three worlds and the game hasn't really clicked with me yet. I'll hold off on judging it until I complete everything.
I don't know if I'll run this game. I have a couple of reasons as to why I'm leaning towards not doing it.
The first one being that I have version 1.10 and apparently you need an earlier version because Marisa's speed was lowered in the one I'm playing, or something like that.
The second reason is that the game feels more reset intensive. I don't think that's a bad thing, but it isn't the sort of game I want to take seriously. I like to enjoy the games I play and if I was getting frustrated from having to reset too frequently because of minor mistakes, it could start to ruin my enjoyment. Amapani takes less than half the time Nitroid does, so minor mistakes are that much more punishing.
If I ever do decide to run this game, it'll probably be something I fall back on if I feel like changing things up from Nitroid for a bit, or just more of a casual run where I'm not super picky about minor mistakes.
I'm not going out of my way to look for things until I finish the game, I just happened to come across this and figured I'd upload it. I don't know if there's any knowledge base of oddities in this game, so I'll just upload what I come across.
Nitroid will still be the game that I spend most of my time on though. Also the lack of ducking in this game disappoints me, as I no longer have something fun to end my videos with.
Anyway regarding this video, I'm sure that this is already known. It also works with the upward moving arrow gate, the timed switch blocks and cracked blocks, but only in certain stages for some strange reason.
