We discover the identity of the mist and are forced into a fight in order to leave this world. Everything goes surprisingly well until I get close to the end, where I start to get a bit nervous and almost lose because of it.

This playthrough was really fun and also somewhat frustrating at times, I'm looking at you stupid ledge in 5-15. Like my first time through the extra stage, I'm once again left with a feeling of emptiness. It really just goes to show how great of a game Nitroid is, at least in my opinion.

The first time I played through it I actually didn't attempt the extra stage. I had heard the rumors of how it's brutally difficult and what not, so I was kind of unsure whether I wanted to invest time into it. A couple days later I decided to replay the first four worlds, managed to collect everything and finally attempted the extra stage.

To my surprise it wasn't nearly as bad as the rumors made it out to be, although it was definitely extremely difficult at times. After making it through the entire stage and beating Suika, it really made me appreciate the game on a whole different level.

I guess I just need to thank the fact that the extra stage even exists, as it's the main reason I love this game so much and is part of why I've invested so many hours into it.
