After finding a mysterious machine on top of Gol and Maia’s Citadel, Jak, Daxter, Keira, and Samos travel through a portal to a horrible, grim world, where they are separated and Jak is taken captive and tortured for 2 years. Immediately upon breaking out, Jak and Daxter join the Underground resistance against Jak’s tormentor, Baron Praxis, and the boys are immediately put to work, and Jak struggles to control the darkness surging within him as a result of Baron Praxis’s “experiments.”
