Amazing Artifacts Found in the Abandoned Trinity Mine (Part 2 of 3)
In this video, we explore a silver mine worked primarily in the early 1900's. This mine is accessed via an inclined shaft. In this three part series, we will be working from the lowest levels to the highest. This video showcases the second part of the 900-Level which was the main haulage level for the mine. There are two levels below this one, but access is difficult and we didn't attempt it.
In this part, we discover a large internal winze with an amazing underground headframe. Next to the headframe was an oil lantern, the first that I have ever seen in the hundreds of mines I've visited. We spent some time photographing this once in a lifetime find before heading back up to the shaft. Once at the shaft, we venture off to the right-hand drift and find a ventilation blower.
Part 3 will pick up on the 900-Level and will be released next Monday! The final part of this series will show the remainder of the 900-Level and the upper levels which aren't quite as extensive.
