127The Echo Auto is a small device that fits onto the AC vent of your car and serves as a means to get Alexa out of your home and into your car. Amazon's Echo lineup of devices are designed to work indoors and the Echo Auto is an extension of that and allows you to take Alexa and all it's voice-based features on the road when you are driving. So you can ask it many things while on the road like playing songs for your to setting reminders for you to cricket related information as is shown here. The Amazon Echo Auto uses the Air Con Vent Mount to sit on your air conditioner vent and draws power from the 12V DC socket using MicroUSB. It connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth using the Amazon Alexa app. The Echo Auto doesn't have a speaker of its own but connects to your car via Bluetooth or using the bundled Aux cable. The Echo Auto can make your phone do things like call a number or navigate to a certain location on Google Maps, all very useful when you are driving. While the Echo Auto seems to liberate the Indian driver on one side with its voice-based commands on the go, it seems to tie them down in other ways with its rather messy bunch of cables. Getting Alexa for your car will cost Rs. 4,999 as of Jan 2020. So is this Alexa auto device worth it?
