Amazon Kindle 2022 | What Main Updates Has New E-reader Got?
28Amazon has updated its cheapest e-reader and introduced a new version of the Amazon Kindle.
Externally, the new model is not much different from the old ones: the same compact size and 6-inch front-lit E-ink screen with a resolution of 300 ppi. Dimensions are 157.8 x 108.6 x 8.0 mm, weight is 158 g. There are two colors to choose from: black and blue.
All in all, the new Amazon Kindle gets many of the features of the Paperwhite, only it costs less. Among the main changes are an increase in internal memory from 8 to 16 GB, a USB Type-C connector instead of microUSB (thank you for this), as well as battery life from a single charge to 6 weeks. But keep in mind that this is with 30 minutes of reading a day and wireless off.
The Amazon Kindle 2022 costs $100 for the ad-supported version and $120 for the non-ad version. Starting today, pre-orders are open, and official sales will start on October 12.
