Amazon's new sexy Kindle has been announced. The kindle fire is the company's top-tier device. It got a dual-core processor, running Android 2.3 Gingerbread which is heavily customized with Amazon's own UX. A 7-inch IPS panel, Gorilla Glass coating, and weighs 14.6 ounces. You also get access to the full suite of Amazon services: Android Appstore, Kindle books, magazines, etc. -- all stored for free via Amazon Cloud Storage.There also is whispersync for movies and TV shows, Allowing you to switch immediately from you tablet to your TV seamlessly. though it has no camera (front or rear), No Bluetooth, no 3G functionality.
Amazon has truly brought out the big guns here, priced at $199 and coming out Nov 15th. This might just be the gift item for the year.
