Ambient eurorack modular piece - "Chasm"
Inspired by Brian Eno's masterpiece album "On Land" I built some really nice textures. Here's a rundown of the voices:
Voice 1 - Bass drone. Melodicer is controlling Chainsaw. Maestro is re-dicing the melody, a whole note in a C minor pattern, so it's essentially picking a random note to play for the measure. It's going through the Morpheus filter, modulated by Inertia from Triple Sloths, then a VCA. The VCA envelope is Quadrax, triggered by the same Maestro channel as the re-dicing.
Voice 2 - chord textures. I ran Rings, sequenced by Marbles with heavy jitter, into the Arbhar. It's going through the Neutron filter, which is being modulated by the Apathy channel of the Sloths. Lots of delay and reverb. The Arbhar's playback head is also being moved by the Sloths Apathy channel.
Voice 3 - ping. The ping is the 4ms Ensemble oscillator, with heavy ADDAC 506 modulation of the cross FM, balance and twist. It's going through Ikarie, and a VCA, both of which are being modulated by a burst from Quadrax. Quadrax is being pinged by a long LFO from Zadar, 33 seconds or so. The notes are from the Behringer 182 sequencer, quantized by Ornament and Crime.
Voice 4 - speech? Radio Music through Vinicius Overfolder, thru the Mankato LP filter, then the Vinicius SVF on hi pass. Pulses is occasionally triggering a slow AD envelope on the Mankato, allowing destroyed audio thru the filters.
