AMD have officially revealed benchmarks of their Zen lineup of processors by showing an 8 core, 16 thread Zen (Summit Ridge) run against an Intel I7 6900 Broadwell-E processor.
The Zen CPU slightly pips the Intel one to the post, if the two CPU's are running at the same 3GHZ speed which the Summit Ridge engineering Sample is running at.
Zen will be available for a multitude of different hardware, including low power solutions, PC desktops for gamers and power users, along with high end servers with the naples architecture.
Zen is going to have a small launch in 2016 with a full release date of 2017 and onwards.
