AMD has finally announced the one Ryzen 5000 CPU we wanted from the very start: the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X! That's right, the more budget-friend Ryzen 7, 8-core CPU is here, right as the AM4 socket is about to go to sleep forever. Releasing the Ryzen 5700X so late is a bit of a strange move, though the chip shortage might be the reason for it. They also gave the Ryzen 5700X, no publicity, and even less to the Ryzen 5600, and Ryzen 5500 that also launched today, all budget Ryzen 5000 CPUs that a lot of people would love to buy.

While the Ryzen 5700X release date was only today, it will probably be a while before the first Ryzen 5700X benchmark scores and Ryzen 5700X performance numbers will appear in any Ryzen 5700X review. As such, right now it's hard to answer the question of "is the Ryzen 5700X worth it", however seeing how the Ryzen 5700X price is just $40 less than the already highly discounted Ryzen 5800X, the Ryzen 5700X vs 5800X battle will be an interesting one, as the only really difference between them is a slight change in the maximum boost frequency.
