At 10.5 inches long, the Radeon RX 6800 is just as long as its more-powerful big brother, the AMD RX 6800 XT. However, where the 6800 XT variant takes up a bit more space in our testbed, at 2.5 slots wide, the RX 6800 slims its profile down slightly, to a two-slot width.

On the back of the card, we find a die-cast aluminum backplate. Aluminum also makes up the housing of the card, as well as the heatsink and the frame.
The shroud contains three fans spread out across the entirety of its heatsink, with the shroud featuring a small divot along the top of the card to add an accent to the otherwise standardized design. At just a 250-watt power requirement, I was surprised to see that, like the Radeon RX 6800 XT, the RX 6800 requires two eight-pin PSU connectors to power it. In contrast, 2019's Radeon RX 5700 XT, with its 225-watt needs, had the more common six-pin plus eight-pin configuration.
