AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT Review - Is it for you? Not likely
14Launched around early July the Ryzen 5 3600XT wasn't exactly the most anticipated processor from AMD seeing the price at RM 1,199 and the rumored Zen 3 was set to come in Q4.
2 months on the sentiment over the AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT remains the same, probably worse as AMD also announced the 8th October date for Zen 3, though we don't know exactly what that date is about.
In the end the AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT is a niche product. It can't touch the Ryzen 7 3700X for multi-core productivity workloads and it's won't be setting itself much apart from the Ryzen 5 3600 that costs far less. You get the Ryzen 5 3600XT only if you're trying your luck to get the best overclock possible from an AMD 6-core 12-thread processor. Remember, silicon lottery is real!
