The 8600G is an excellent choice for a tiny SFF desktop workhorse or 1080p gaming PC, but if you are considering a MATX or ATX build and the possiblity of a dedicated GPU at some point, you really should avoid this like the plague!
In todays video we will be dicussing the Ryzen 5 8600G 6 core 12 thread 65w TDP AM5 Processor.
It has a base clock of 4.3ghz and will boost to 5.0ghz and it contains the Radeon 760M integrated iGPU which is roughly on par with some older GPUs like the RX550, GTX1060 3GB, RX480 etc you get the idea.
This is where the tough decisions need to be made. There is a potential immanent release or the Strix Halo APU which could offer vastly superior iGPU performance possibly on par with the mobile RTX4070!
That is literally a game changer, but prices could be a LOT higher. The AMD Ryzen 5 8600G can be bought for around the £150 mark, which is pretty good value if you consider the money needed for an entry level GPU these days.
However if you are able to get a gpu into your PC then the 7500f 7600 or even the 7700 can also be had for about that money or less if you shop around.
