The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, which gamers have been eagerly anticipating for almost a year, is here. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is an 8-core processor design that uses a single CCD and features a 3DV Cache capability for Zen 4, providing an additional 64 MB of L3 cache, which greatly improves the performance of certain workloads. While the processor falls behind in application performance compared to Intel's offerings, it outperforms them in gaming. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is 5.6% faster than the i9-13900K and 5.8% faster than the Ryzen 9 7950X3D in our test suite at 1080p.
