AMD has just launched the zen 2 based second-generation Epyc processors known as Rome. Rome is up to 64 core and 128 threads, with 8 memory channels and holds the record to be the worlds first 7nm server processor (Ryzen 3000, of course, was the first 7nm desktop processor). AMD's Epyc Rome CPUs have already been embraced by companies such as HPE, Google and Twitter. AMD ROME are crushing various server benchmarks thanks to the sheer number of threads.
