Amiga Games Week - Gloom 3 Zombie Edition Video
4The Commodore Amiga range of computers were revolutionary, I used them as my only personal computer until 2002. I loved them, the games had better level design, better music to name but two. The applications hardly ever crashed, they just worked. Using an Amiga as an internet computer is very possible using a web browser called Voyager. I still own 5, my collection includes a 4000, 1200, 600, 500+ and a CD32 (game console). I used to love using Deluxe Paint (even though I can to draw), playing games of all genres and watching the best audio videos that the PD (public domain) would come up with. When the A500 mini was released at the start of this year (2022) I was overjoyed, ecstatic and elated. I pre ordered two, one to use and one to keep in its packaging.
This week I m playing some of the games I used to love playing when I was a kid growing up. After playing Gloom Deluxe (https://youtu.be/x0_cAl29VaA) to death I hankered after another Gloom game, along comes Gareth Murfin and Gloom 3 or Ultimate Gloom, or Gloom 3 Zombie Edition, which is actually the second Gloom game in the franchise. Gloom and Gloom Deluxe are both the first games, as Deluxe was a graphical enhancement only, for AGA Amigas. Now back to Gloom 3, as i'm a fan of PD gaming I loved Gloom 3, from the drum and bass intro menu music to the crazy new sound effects mixed with new zombie sprites it made for a great fun game. Replaying now on my A500 mini is just superb, I cannot say enough I do love this game!! Ok, its not as good as Gloom or Gloom Deluxe (1 game) but then it shouldnt be as good, it really reminds me of a low budget horror film, and I love that!
