What started as a horror drama looking for prestige has ended up being a bit of a joke franchise that anyone wanting to have some sort of cache attached to it just slaps the Amityville name to it. There are nearly thirty that I cared to look for anyway. And while about two-thirds of them are a complete waste of time, Amityville: It’s About Time is one of the better entries that deserves further discovery.
