Being able to look at a copy of Nintendo Power Issue #78 led me to an interesting find: a Mortal Kombat 3 Kombat Kode published exclusively for Nintendo Power readers. This reminded me of a promotional marketing video done by Midway leading up to the arcade release of Mortal Kombat 3, and its heavy marketing push of the Kombat Kodes in media and merchandise. Considering the industry nearly 30 years ago, it made me realize how underappreciated the feature likely is in 2023.
