An Insanely Fast Old Man - Wiz N Liz: The Frantic Wabbit Wescue - Full Gameplay - Sega Genesis
A full game playthrough of Wiz 'n' Liz: The Frantic Wabbit Wescue for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis, with unedited gameplay and commentary.
Welcome to Wiz'n'Liz, and their world full of magic, mayhem, as well as their frantic rabbit rescue. Combining a wide array of fresh produce Wiz will cast a multitude of spells to 'help' him on his journey to save all of the rabbits that have been mysterious kidnapped by some kind of magical light? Plot's a little thin; go save those rabbits!
Wiz N Liz is a bright and colourful platformer with a fairly simple gameplay loop. From the hub world we can select 1 of 8 different worlds, venture inside to save any stray rabbits, whilst simultaneously gathering ingredients for future spells and invoking magic to open a portal back home. Once we arrive back home we make merry with our ingredients to cast a random selection of spells. Eventually we complete every world and so proceed to exact revenge on whatever random large monster we encounter. I don't know the lore, but you get to fight a boss, so that's fun!
The spells available are a vast array of effects. Some do absolutely nothing, others build towards large rewards. Maybe the next stage becomes easier? Maybe a previous world re-opens? Perhaps you die on the spot? The possibilities are endless! Perhaps the most famous spells are those that enable one of the game's many minigames or bonus rooms. A brief break from the wabbit wescue to earn some points, lives and time in a completely different setting.
The main take away from Wiz N Liz though? It's insanely fast. Wiz might be an old textbook stereotypical wizard, but good grief this man can shift. Running so fast that friction becomes nigh-on meaningless, Wiz (or Liz) can navigate these worlds at break-neck speed that the player will often struggle to control.
All this coupled with a genuinely hard difficulty, and we've got a never ending array of surprises to keep us engaged throughout.

On this channel I make a variety of gaming content. Sometimes we're reviewing up and coming indie games, sometimes we're revisiting retro classics for a Let's Play. The only consistent factor is that it's all gaming, and it's all accompanied by sarcastic commentary. If that's your thing then I have links:

I always try to be as fair and objective as possible when making my review videos, giving some honest feedback and a bit of criticsm here and there. Remember that games these days are always subject to change so many of the things mentioned here may no longer be true depending on how old this video is.
Please leave a comment if you have any questions about this video, or suggestions for future videos. I'm always open to hearing what you guys have to say.
