A wonderful independently developed space game that I've been playing for years now, Starsector is a 2D spaceship shooter/fleet strategy game with an impressive and highly satisfying amount of depth. Created by Fractal Softworks, Starsector is an excellently crafted, superbly enjoyable and worringly addictive title that deserves a look - it might just be the space game you never knew you needed. In this video, I give a short introduction to the game, go through many of its core mechanics, and demonstrate a few battles to boot. Even so, it's only the tip of the iceberg!
