Analogies and Analysis with Anish | How he beat Wesley So 2.5-1.5 on Day 1
After Wesley So won the first game of their 4-game match on day 1 of the Semi-finals at the Magnus Carlsen invitational 2021, it seemed quite difficult for Anish Giri to make a comeback. Wesley's play in the event has been bulletproof. But the unthinkable happened! Anish managed to draw game 2, and then won games 3 and 4 and took home day 1 in his favour.
After the games, Giri joined us for a brief chat on ChessBase india where he was in his element as he explained his deep thought process with not just analysis but also analogies!
