In this video, I'll be playing with the legendary Helicalpuma. This man was my DST teacher for so long when I started the game. Playing with him now feels like I won my life, for real. As the title says, we killed the Ancient Fuelweaver day 14 playing a double Wortox combination.
But wait! Something's wrong, right? What about the night 21 limit of the Shadow Pieces? Aren't you supposed to wait for the first new moon before setting the 3 marbles in their respective structures?
Well... Actually the first new moon doesn't start day 21, it starts right on day 1. It means that the very first night of the world is a new moon.
A player named KoreanWaffles released an incredible speedrun where he killed the ultimate boss day seventeen, alone. He was the first to showcase a strategy where you could bypass the night 21 limit in the Ancient Fuelweaver speedrun. He used a hilarious technique that implies to spawn the shadow knight during the first night : the boss would follow him for days till he found the 2 other suspicious marbles. That's really funny to see the shadow knight following you for days like that, I can tell! Finally, when he found the two other suspicious marbles, he can now place them in their structures and the fight will start right away. As soon as you place one other marble, the respective shadow pops out! That's a brillant technique, props to KoreanWaffles! This is the heart of the run, this is why and how we could kill the boss day 14.
There's only a problem. See, the odds of finding both of the marble setpiece and knight's head are really low. I mean, really, really low. So during the first day, we'd only move using roads to desperately find both of them. If we don't find them before the first night, we disconnect and retry. I know, that sounds tryhard as hell but that's the only way if you wanna do without using commands to spawn marbles or teleport to the setpiece. Since we're two players, this is easier to find the marble setpiece and the knight's head, especially as Wortox. We can soul hop if a dead end shows up or simply to move faster.
The introduction was widely inspired by @Ningishu's Moonlord speedrun in 90 minutes.
