It's time for another original song, this time using Dn-FamiTracker instead of tildearrow's Furnace (I know that the 2A03 and 2C33 are supported by Furnace, but it currently doesn't have a proper NSF export function yet). I was incredibly happy with how my recent Famicom Disk System cover of the Circuit Theme from Mario Kart Advance (a.k.a. Mario Kart: Super Circuit), so I was in the mood for some more FDS goodness. I even went with most of the same instruments from that cover (albeit slightly modified), but decided to go with that signature bass wavetable used in many Namco and Konami arcade games (plus a lot of Hudson Soft's games on the PC Engine and TurboGrafx-16) instead of the one used by Nintendo and HAL Laboratory in Famicom Grand Prix 2: 3D Hot Rally. Either way, I went into this with the style of songs from Mario Kart and 3D Hot Rally in mind, with a hint of Konami and Sunsoft influence as well. For the cover art, I was originally gonna use another picture of myself like with my previous song You're Goin' Down, but I couldn't find anything in my camera roll that would work, and it wasn't the right weather outside to take a new picture. So, I ended up drawing myself wearing sunglasses, which marks the first time I've drawn a piece of visual art since 2021, and I think I've still got the chops. Anyway, I'm eager to hear what you guys think, so relax, and enjoy Oh, That Sweet Release!
