Andrewajt62 vs. Mew2king - Crossfire 4 SSBM (Games 2,3)
8Here is games two and three of my set versus Mew2king, at top 5 player, at Crossfire 4 in Long Island (53 entrants for Melee). He won game one with Fox vs my IC's on Final Destination, with one stock left. Game 3 gets cut off because my phone ran out of memory space, but the winner is predictable. I apologize for the poor quality.
Unfortunately, because game three was his counter-pick, it meant that I had to pick my character first. My choices were to pick Ice Climbers and face his Peach in a horrible 70-30 matchup, or pick Sheik and face him in Sheik dittos, which he is nearly undefeated in (he is the best Sheik player to ever live). Of my two best characters I narrowly decided to pick Ice Climbers, as he has less experience fighting them.
Those infinite grabs, or Wobbles, may look cheap. However, they are escapable at the startup, and they were very difficult to complete considering my slight nerves at the time.
I realized later that because of Dave's Stupid Rule (you can not return to the last stage you have won on), Mew2king technically was not allowed to return to Final Destination for game 3. However, because the IC Peach matchup is so bad, I don't think a different stage would have changed the outcome.
