This basics video tutorial shows you how to use the new feature for sequences: Clip masks in GameMaker Studio.

The idea is quite simple, clip masks are a way to mask an existing image for it to show only the white parts of the clip mask image. Which that you can make neat little animations for cooldowns, or overlaying 2 colored image etc. .

This video shows how to overlay 2 images in sequences, one that is being tinted red and that has a radial mask that simulated a cooldown effect.
