🔴Bloom/Glow effect shader [Game Maker Studio 2 | Advanced]
This advanced video tutorial shows you what the bloom/glow effect (shader) is, how you can recreate it in a photo editing software and last but not least how to use it in GameMaker Studio.
The idea behind the bloom/glow effect is quite simple. You copy an image, highlight the bright spots and then blurr this second image. Then you blend these two together to create a new image which appears to have glowing element in it.
You see this glow/bloom effect in almost every modern video game to enhance the graphics significantly. Games like Hollow Knight, Dead cells and of course basically all AAA games have this more or less in their games.
