The Berserker Armor is a suit of highly durable body armor forged by dwarves. Wearers of the armor are called Berserkers, due to the rage and ferocity in battle.
Story
At an unknown point in time, the Berserker Armor was created by dwarves, who imbued it with an evil od purposed for drawing out and manifesting its wearer's negative emotions; the main source being rage. The armor was eventually worn by the man who became the Skull Knight to combat the apostlesand the GodHand. Some time after his mortal demise, he entrusted the dangerous artifact to his friend, the witch Flora. In her care, it remained locked away till the predestined time it was given to Guts.
During the spirit tree mansion invasion by apostles of Griffith's reborn Band of the Falcon, Guts aquired the dangerous artifact. The armour was so tough that Guts was able to stand up against Grunbeld's immense strength, even after his crystal dragon transformation, Guts easily overwhelms the apostle in their clash in the fiery forest.
The Berserker Armor has the ability to take control of its wearer's mind, suppressing their fear and perception of pain. This allows the wearer to go past his or her limitations due to their human body. The wearer is also granted extraordinary gains in strength, endurance and an inhuman tenacity for battle. The armor repairs debilitating injuries in battle reinforcing broken bones and forcibly reallocating dislocated joints, while simultaneously piercing the flesh of its wearer with thin barbs and spikes in the process. These injuries are not healed and can lead to its wearer's untimely death due to blood loss. Legend states that the last wearer of the armour fought, while being pierced into and reconstructing their injuries until their last drop of blood. This leads some theorists to believe that the Berserker armor also has the ability to create a being like the Skull knight if the wearer dies while wearing the armor.
