Animelee is a purely aesthetic mod of Melee. It uses both custom models and textures to make the characters look like they are cell shaded and stylized like anime characters.
Melee's character models have been completely reworked to use a cell-shading, with each texture detail remade as part of the model. This new style renders crisp detail at every resolution, so they always look great
Every legal stage has been given a makeover, featuring references and callbacks to the original stages while bringing something new to the table. Play in immersive stages that use new effects pushing Melee’s engine.
