The easiest place to do this is in level 3. There a section where the screen will stop scrolling and there's a breakable statue in the bottom right corner. I'm still not 100% certain how to pull this off consistently, but it appears what causes this is the little robot enemies who have flamethrowers. Move to the right of the statue and then lure a robot toward you. Quickly grab it and then throw it at the statue. What appears to happen is that the robot will hit the statue, but this will cause any enemies near the statue to also be sent flying due go a bug. Your score will for some reason increase to ridiculous levels, you can sometimes get several million in an instant. The score will reset back to nothing if you go over 10 million.

The only other level I've managed to do this glitch in is level 7. It appears that the little robots are the only enemies you can do this with, none of the other enemies work.
