But for a quicky summary this game was released twice. The first version was for the Mega CD, which is the version that features cutscenes, and is what I'm doing a playthrough of for this video. The other version was released for the Genesis, which is mostly the same game other than the cutscenes being removed.

A few notes about the levels:

Level 1 lets you skip around half of it if you take the shortcut I used at 1:30. Also I've never had one of those porcupines enemies enter the boss room before. It glitches out once the boss appears.

At 11:03, Zigfried is seen leaving with the Necronomicon. Yet suddenly at 12:44 Earnest has it. My theory is there was a level between these two parts of the cutscene which was scrapped.

The start of level 5, seen at 13:16, has a massive shortcut which you can get if you just hold left when the level starts. This way you'll land ontop of the train, which saves a lot of time. It's a harder route though since there are two enemies with guns, and their bullets do a lot of damage.

Just before level 6 starts, the cutscene shows Earnest and friends in jail for some reason. How or why they got there is unknown. Anyway, when level 6 does start, I show a secret that went undisovered for over 20 years since the game came out. If you crouch and whip the wall on the left a few times and then wait, a small white car will appear. You can collect this car to receive some bonus points.

Level 10 has a glitch in it where you can beat it by going up instead of down. I tried to do this at 28:12 but the bad controls prevented me from doing so. So I had to beat this level the normal way, which went really well given it's seen as one of the hardest levels to beat without using a continue.

This was played using the KEGA Fusion emulator. This game is a real pain to get working with Gens -most versions seem to refuse to play this game at all, or the couple of versions I used that did work crash either during one of the later cutscenes, or during the ending.
