Good game... with issues.
The most glaring one by just watching this video is the combat.
You'll notice how in every fight past the 3rd one I keep using knee attack. That's right, all the other weapons? hardly as effective as your knee. It destroys barriers (poise), deals high damage which you can chain twice in a row, and basically makes 80% of the skill tree obsolete.
Why write so much about one strong move? because its one of a series of indications that the game wasn't fully baked to bring that true memorable experience.
Characters writing, fragmented story, combat issues... this game is the definition of "dropping the ball" in every single chance it had.
A shame really, because as you can tell the artwork is amazing, but the story could absolutely be fleshed out more instead of dumping all the relevant bits right at the very end of it in such a rush, that when you clear the final area you're left with "wait, what just happened?" feeling.
Every time you meet an interesting non-plot character - its already gone.
I still enjoyed going through it, but not so sure if I would've felt the same if I had to use those clunky swords...
