Announcing - Moosader Board Competition #2: Unintuitive/Broken Physics
Chekkit Out!!
http://board.moosader.com/viewforum.php?f=25
Theme:
Make a game with unintuitive physics.
This means, completely go against what you (and the player) expect the way physics to work.
Running forward and then jumping would cause you to normally jump forward, right? Mix it up and make them fly off at some random angle at some random velocity!
It doesn't matter how exactly your physics are, they just have to not make "intuitive" sense. Something that would never happen in the real world.
Timeframe:
This competition runs from Sunday, May 16th until Sunday, June 13th.
Rules:
Early Bird
- You may NOT begin any coding prior to the start date.
- You MAY and probably should spend time designing
Teams
- You MAY work in a team, or you could work solo if you like.
Development
- It doesn't matter what language or engine you use; you can use C++, or you can use GameMaker. It's a game development compo.
- You do not have to create all the assets during this competition. Pretty much just the programming should be done during the time-frame, you can work on design and assets (or find public domain assets) before the compo.
Tardyness
- Entries MUST be submitted by June 13th (it doesn't really matter what timezone, we can be a little lax on that)
How to compete:
Create a thread in this subforum for your game. You can create this at any time, though it's more fun if you post it earlier so you can post development updates and everybody will get hyped!
At the end of the competition, you will post a download link to your game on your thread. If you don't have a place to host, please let me know, I'll host it for you! I hate RapidShare and that sort of thing!
Let me know if there are any questions on the rules.
