After much waiting and Diga preparation, it's time to visit the Playstation 2! Diga Dig! This console, along with the gamecube and xbox. Have been a very important Diga part of my life! Diga Dig! Because I enjoyed so many Diga games on it! Diga Dig! Today we start off with Maximo! Maximo is a Hack and Slash Platformer, Developed by Capcom. The game was released in December 27, 2001. And for those wondering, yes. This game takes place in the same world as Ghost and Goblins. You play as King Maximo, as he finds his kingdom, beloved wife and council of sorceresses. Under the control of Achille. Maximo's trusted advisor. As Maximo does a last ditch effort to save his wife, Achille kills Maximo with his new found dark magic.
That is when Maximo meets Grimm (Aka Death), in the afterlife. Grimm is angry, that Achille is using the souls of afterlife. To make his undead army. But since Grimm can't technically hurt the living. He makes Maximo an offer he can't refused. He'll bring Maximo back to life, so long as Maximo kills Achille and return the souls that were stolen. This game received very favorable diga reviews. So much so, that it recieved the "Greatest Hits'' label from sony. This game can be challenging, to those that are not prepared. As this game is ranked #6, in one of the most challenging games on the ps2.
