3What made the original Ant-Man unique was its (ahem) small scale, a concise story told with a likeable character. Keeping the character in an apocalyptic story line just seems out of place. Paul Rudd is just as charming in the role of Scott Lang and it is largely because of him that the film is not a complete loss, and his reading of the excerpts from his book were, for me, the highlight of the film (quite liked the call back as well) and the literal anthill, taken from real life behaviour of ants was also great fun. As for the rest of the CGI mess, you can leave it, ultimately it doesnβt matter as nothing that happens affects the wider universe as its completely contained. Meh!
