Anthem Is Shutting Down... I Had to Play It One Last Time
144Anthem’s time is almost up. EA announced that Anthem's online servers will be permanently shut down on January 12, 2026, and since the game is online-only, that’s game over—literally. I jumped back in to see if anyone is still playing in 2025 and to give it one final go before the plug is pulled.
In this video, I share my personal gameplay experience trying to get into groups, reflect on the rise and fall of the game, and explain why Anthem had potential—but was let down by poor support. I also talk about the community’s final days, the issues with matchmaking, and whether EA should release an offline mode before it's too late.
