Destiny 2 Season of the Wish
Champions are ever present in endgame activities but have some very strict and sometimes weird rules around what abilities and weapons can meet the criteria to stun them. While theres plenty of options now including subclass specific verbs such as slow and ignite if you try to run multiple of these options it can lock some of them out.
For weapon's to stun champions only one effect will gain priority, so if you are running both overload pulse rifle and a revision zero, the weapons intrinsic anti-barrier will overwrite the overload pulse effect. While this is rather well known the same effect can also happen with subclass verbs.
While running both an overload auto rifle mod and having the buff radiant active only the overload effect will take effect despite the fact that radiant is supposed to give all weapons anti-barrier rounds.
Non-weapon based damage can also vary, freezing a unstoppable champion with a weapon which already has a non-unstoppable champion counter tied to it will still stun the unstoppable champion. In these cases its due to the damage source being classed as ability based rather than weapon based.
