Half-Life 2 is my favorite game of all time and Half-Life's world is one of my favorites in all of fictional media. As a writer, it was a only a matter of time before I made a story set within the Half-Life universe.
ANTI-CITIZEN HOLDOUT is a pilot for a potential series of videos, all based on Combine bodycam and CCTV footage. It would combine elements of Analog Horror and Found Footage movies with Half-Life's world (pun not intended), pulling inspiration from other works such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and FEAR. If this video does well, I'll get around to making both a director's commentary for this video as well as a follow-up in the series.
While I do have 8 or 9 episodes roughly thought up, I'm open to feedback on where to take this story next and how to tell said story. If people think I should add music, I'll add music, if people want more bodycam footage compared to CCTV, I'll add more bodycam stuff, if people want a specific vibe for future episodes, I'll try to add in more stories in that genre, etc. While I'm telling the story I want to tell, I'm telling it for an audience. I'm telling it for other Half-Life fans. I'm telling it for you.
I love Half-Life with every fiber of my being, so I hope I'm able to translate that passion into a product that feels like it could be an extension of that story, in some other timeline. I hope you enjoy my work and have a great rest of your day :)
