Ants Uncovered From a Rock Move Larvae in Minutes!
We uncovered this ant colony when removing bricks surrounding a garden. We had to take a break from stump grinding in order to film this amazing display of nature at its best. These ants work together as a team and quickly move all of the larvae to safety in minutes. The ant larvae were white, slightly transparent and looked like little hooks. The larvae appeared to have small movement on its own which was really strange. This sure was an incredible moment watching the swarm of ants hard at work protecting the larvae. This is truly an amazing sight of teamwork as the ants all work together to move the ant eggs. The whole process from start to finish took under 10 minutes to move both patches of larvae that we found. Most of us don't even know where ants come from as its one of the things that are overlooked quite often. We believe that these are red ants that are tending to their baby ant eggs perhaps for food or to raise more workers for the queen. I wonder when they will hatch? Either way this eerie bug video will make you squirm or at least make you say "Hey Jerry..check this video out"
