🌟 Background

• Bloodhound is known across the Outlands as one of the greatest game hunters the Frontier has ever seen, and that’s about all anyone knows. Their identity is a mystery wrapped in layers of rumors: they are fabulously wealthy, a bloodthirsty murderer, a Goliath whisperer, a formerly enslaved person, half-bat, and a dozen other things depending on who’s doing the whispering.

• All anyone truly knows is that Bloodhound is a force to be reckoned with in the Apex Games. Bloodhound’s unparalleled tracking skills are a boon to any team they join, helping them root out hidden opponents and track the enemy’s movements. Calling on Earth’s Old Norse Gods to guide them, Bloodhound believes that destiny is a path that has already been laid out, eventually carrying all to their death. But with that knowledge comes strength, because until that day comes, Bloodhound knows they can’t be stopped.


🌟 Abilities

• Tactical Ability: Eye of the Allfather
This is the tactical ability of Bloodhound. You can use this to check areas for possible enemies or get a good idea of where everyone is spread out inside a building. Once scanned, enemies and their movements are tracked for ~5 seconds. Scanned enemies get notified when they are scanned and your teammates see scanned enemies as long as you do. Enemies are only scanned in an arc in the direction you are facing

• Passive Ability: Tracker
This is a pretty interesting ability and can be useful for tracking down enemies that are on the run or that you are fighting against. It will show you small clues like blood from a wounded player, where a player died, what weapon was used to kill them, bullet casings, footsteps, recently opened doors and other small information that can be quite useful.

• Ultimate Ability: Beast of the Hunt
Bloodhound's Ultimate Ability is pretty interesting and unique. You get a 40% speed boost to crouching, walking, running, and most importantly, strafing. Your vision goes grayscale, and enemies become dark red, making them stand out. You also see their footprints on the ground whilst in your ultimate. You aren't invulnerable or have damage reduction while this is taking place, so don't try to be Rambo and go full bore at your enemies. However, due to your movement speed, you can flank quite effectively. You can scan 20% faster than normal and can scan every 8 seconds while in the beast of the hunt. Beast of the Hunt lasts for 35 seconds, but when under 15 seconds, any knockdowns - Yes, knockdowns, not kills will send the timer back to 15, meaning you can gain up to 14 seconds of extra Hunt time after every knockdown.

• Heirloom: Raven's Bite
Bloodhound has an heirloom that they use to chop their enemies. The heirloom is a small handaxe, with a red aura on the blade, as well as a raven on the back with glowing red eyes.


🌟 Trivia

• During the development of the original Titanfall, artist Joel Emslie created a number of maquettes to inspire the look of the characters. One of these models would later be reused in the design of Bloodhound.

• The name of Bloodhound's raven is Arthur.

• Bloodhound is the only legend with a living companion.
