ALIENWARE AREA 51 tower: Core i9 Extreme/ EVGA 2080Ti Black/ 32GB DDR4/ 10TB SSD/ Saitek X-45 with Logitech G Pro Pedals / ALIENWARE AW988 headset/ 34" ALIENWARE Gaming Monitor

FOR NEWBS TO DCS:

My Saitek X-45 is a great Hotas, but it's only perfect for the F-16.

The majority of the sim jets demand twin engine throttles with more buttons and hats for sensors and weapon select.

#1 the best, affordable HOTAS is the Logitech/Saitek X-56 RHINO with the LogitechG Pro Pedals. That's $430 together.

#2 Thrustmaster sells the T.16000M FCS HOTAS and Pedals for just$259 combined at Best Buy. It's not as good as the X56+ Logitech Pro Pedals.

#3 the best EXPENSIVE control is the Virpil VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Throttle with the Virpil ACE 2 pedals and Virpil VPC Constellation ALPHA-L. That's about $1000 combined.

For people with a LOT of money to burn, the Virpil is the way to go.

For regular people, the X-56 setup is the way to go.
