A video walkthrough for Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney for the Nintendo DS. Episode 3: Turnabout Serenade. Part 25 of 25.
In this part, Apollo decides that if he can't prove the witness' guilt through decisive evidence, he will have to prove it through witness testimony. Specifically, Apollo wants Machi to confess about being Daryan's accomplice, so they can arrest Daryan.
It is in Machi's best interests to confess to being an accomplice to cocoon smuggling here, for two reasons. One, if he confesses, he will be found guilty of smuggling, not murder, so he will get a lighter sentence. Two, if he confesses, he will be tried in US courts for smuggling, not Borginian courts, so he will again get a lighter sentence. Machi agrees to confess, as does Daryan.
Machi is then found innocent of murder. He thanks Apollo. Hobo Phoenix appears after the trial, and he reveals that he was doing some behind-the-scenes work. Specifically, he's figured out a way to restore Lamiroir's eyesight. Lamiroir thanks Apollo, Trucy and Phoenix for their help.
