A video walkthrough for Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney for the Nintendo DS. Episode 4: Turnabout Succession. Part 8 of 29.
In this part, there is a recap of the case so far. Apollo finds two problems in the recap. First, the witness claims nothing left the studio that night, which contradicts his earlier claim that the victim mailed a letter. Second, the witness claims that nothing but the coffee touched the victim's lips that night, when clearly, the victim's lips touched the stamp on the letter.
Why is this relevant? The stamp that was used was poisoned! We found traces of poison on the stamp's container, after all. That must be how the victim was really poisoned. Apollo even gives a good motive for committing murder by poisoned stamp: the victim was a recluse who never left his house. Plus, the red envelope sent by one of the victim's forging associates specifically mentions having him use a specific stamp.
Detective Ema Skye appears, and she tests the letter inside the envelope. It contains traces of poison, in a stamp-shaped area. Therefore, the poisoned stamp is most likely the stamp that was enclosed in this letter, then later put in a special frame.
