Apple Guilty of Fixing E-Book Prices, says Judge
Apple colluded with publishers to artificially raise prices, says a federal judge. Previously, Amazon was the dominating force of the e-book market, but according to "overwhelming" evidence, Apple worked with five major publishers to artificially raise e-book prices from a flat $9.99 to $12.99 or $14.99. Apple will obviously appeal this decision, but in the mean time, this could mean a change for consumers. Kim Horcher and Tim Frisch discuss what this means in the big picture.
