Part 2. This was a really cool metroidvania, with some unique takes on the genre. The biggest thing is that it takes place all underwater. The whole game is a swimming level and for the most part it controls very well. The downside is that the controls were sort of half assed. The game was very much intended for mouse and keyboard. There are some things that just don't work well with the controller in game. You can remap some controls, which is great, but there are also somethings you can do that the game actually never tells you. Like having hot keys for transformations. That would have been great to have since trying to sing mid combat and transform was extremely risky and pretty damn hard. There were a few bosses that very much wanted you to transform quickly and since I had no hot keys it made those fights brutal. That aside, the controls work very well. Swimming feels great and responsive and attacking utilizes a sort of auto aim assist so you shots home-in on enemies. Very helpful. The transformations are all very cool and add some variety. Though some don't exactly add a lot and maybe could have combined some forms instead. There are a nice variety of environments and to go with that a great variety enemies which keeps things fresh. The maps are huge and the dungeons are fun to explore. The bosses can be pretty tough as well. Three are a bunch of collectibles, that don't serve any purpose other than to grab them and decorate your home. Not even an achievement when you have them all. Strange. The graphics are nice as well and the music is soothing. I really do wish that the game guided you better and blocked you from areas that it didn't want you to go to yet. It's nice that the world is open, but it can really cause confusion as to where progress is. It very much is a fun game, but it does have some stark blemishes. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
