♫ARAB ROCK (Aladdin) SNES Arrangement - NintendoComplete
This is an arrangement of "Arab Rock," a theme composed by Donald Griffin for the 1993 Sega Genesis game Aladdin. I have arranged the song for native playback on SNES hardware, and the audio was recorded directly from a launch-model SNES deck.
I always loved this game's soundtrack. I didn't play the Genesis game until sometime in the 2000s, but I got the DOS version soon after it came out (sometime around 1994, I think?) and the music was sweet. This track was always a standout to me, so I thought it would be fun to arrange it for the SNES.
(And I'm sure someone is shaking their head indignantly because I didn't list Tommy Tallarico as the composer, but I'm pretty sure that he was not. As I understand it, with this game Tallarico focused more on creating the FM instruments and doing the sound programming while Donald Griffin composed the lion's share of the soundtrack. Especially since people tend to credit Tallarico for the music, I think that Don deserves a bit of recognition, don't you? He did some great work, and not just on this game.)
