37Playthrough with Weiss. Recently Steam had this Evo special weekend where you could play several games for free, and I've done playthroughs of a bunch of them. So get ready for an anime fighting games special month.
I'd never played an Arcana Heart game before, I'd heard of it but never had any interest in it. A game starring a bunch of screechy anime girls didn't appeal to me or my tinnitus. However, from what I played, it's not that bad. In addition to having special and super moves, every character has an "Arcana", each of which has different abilities (such as meter gain) and also gives you extra moves. There's also a button for boosting around the screen, letting you get right up to your opponent quickly.
Now, let me just say that spending nearly 50 freaking minutes just to beat 7 opponents is not on at all, but it's an Arc game so it's to be expected I guess. Mainly because of WORDS WORDS WORDS. And the stuff they talk about is stupidly entertaining. Weiss goes through all of this just to learn how to bake a cake.
Oh and I suppose I'd better mention the bosses. I'm well aware of Parace and am glad I didn't have to fight her here, because the last two opponents were more than enough for me. Scharlachrot's fine in the first round but once she gets that infinite super meter going it's all downhill from there. The final boss is just as bad, all I can really suggest against both of them is trying to rush them down and use super moves as much as possible.
