So, Giant Slayers are meant to be "just like Slayers, only better" and higher cost, with a mild survivability debuff but slightly higher health. Well, the main feature is armor-piercing, which makes them very scary, though even harder to keep alive on your side. Darn, these guys sworn to die in battle just keep dying in battle. Funny how that goes...
